Wedding rings
Well, it's for real now.
We just got home from committing ourselves to $$ for wedding rings. 3 rings, but we only got to bring home the 2 wedding bands today. I can't show pictures as the engagement ring has to be specially ordered, then we have to drop off the stone for them to mount it. That will be about a week to 2 weeks. They also have to order my wedding band in the right size, so I have to return the one we brought home today when that one comes in. No big deal, since that one doesn't go on my finger until the wedding day.

Vegging now with shark shows. Bday party in a few. Yay parties.

Off to help a friend move an aquarium.

Um....

Where is everyone? It's 3 o'clock in the morning, you silly wizards. Do you plan on sleeping the whole freakin' day away???

ME: I think I'm going to have to wait to live my dream of working a dig in Kenya in my next life.
HE: Why? You can still do it.
ME: No, I can't. I don't like bugs or too much heat.
HE: That does limit your options. The Yucatan is out, too.
ME: It sounded so good when I was in the 5th grade.
HE: You'll have to work an archaeology dig in Seattle.
ME: I've already done it here. Near Mt. Rainier.
HE: True.
ME: And I had to put up with cows and rain and mud.
HE: There you go, you lived the hardship.
ME: My favorite part was cataloging the artifacts. I had to draw them, measure them, record the shape, size, color and material, like saying it was granite--
HE: It could have been another type of rock and you took it for granite.
ME: Don't make me stab you.

The goats giveth, and the goats taketh away. Mood just did a nice 180
degree turn with the application of planned redhead time.

Gah, today really, REALLY needs to stop blowing goats.

In not so good news.

Well, that's not good. Found out that a contractor I've been working with at the new Shoggoth Pit is down with Swine Flu. Oy, frickin' vey. I'm just enough of a hypocondriac to be twitching. Joy, rapture. Come on immune system, kick the virii's ass.

Damn, I really want a bacon sandwich now...

Well, it's Friday, and I'm a happy fox. Working today out of the Bedford Shoggoth Pit, so I get to do my normal job today. Yay. And soon, it will be the weekend. Yay weekends.

HE: Right.

MemcacheD Update
Just wanted to let everyone know, that a new version of MemcacheD has been released. We will be rolling this out to the memcache nodes during the week of July 20th to 24th. This should have very little impact on the stability of the website; however users may see a slight increase in load times as the cache is re-populated with entries.

The software has been tested and verified to be working just fine with the application; so we perceive this to be a very minimal risk in regards to updating, and the stability of the website.

My last post via ping.fm didn't go though. I have to go back into work tonight for a few min to deal with some network hardware. 5 min, if that, of work. That's why I'm going in at 10pm instead of 2am. Gonna go in a bit early so I can plot out what I'll be doing. Until then I'm watching 'Numb3rs' and trying to just veg out. I've got a small mood swing working it's way into gear, but it's minor and fightable. So I've got my metaphorical boxing gloves on and I'm punching it. Gonna use the ferrets in a little bit as well, they make things all better.

Morning Peeps

Good morning peoples. I'm working at home for a bit this morning, then meeting up with the boss at the new Shoggoth Pit to do some plotting and planning. Got tickets done already, and it's not even 9. Making a little breakfast now. Not sure what else the day has for me, just gonna take things one $whatever at a time.

Watched 'Outlander' last night. Wasn't bad, probably would have been better to watch it on a big screen instead of my rinky-dink TV. Vikings vs Aliens. Afterwards I spent a nice long time playing with Nyx and Whiskey. Then I headed to bed, yay sleep. Had more wonky dreams, but I couldn't give you details on them. So not too bad.

That's about it, gonna eat breakfast then head over to the new Shoggoth Pit. Hope it's a good day.
